Seat at street-long table helps light up the night at BEAMS Arts Festival

About four hours before this image was taken, the tables for this street-long communal table were yet to be set up, there were tears among organisers putting up an artwork designed to float above the tables, and things were “getting a little crazy”.
So says the creative director of the annual BEAMS Arts Festival in Chippendale, Nicky Ginsberg, who started work about 5am to ensure all ran smoothly at the annual event, which is 12 months in the planning.
